Sam Clinton was born in Southampton and lived in Andover England but has lived for many years in Vienna, Austria with his second wife, Basia.

On leaving the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm after seven years’ service, Sam became a technical writer documenting civil aircraft flight control instruments. He has, however, spent most of his working life in hardware and software information development as technical writer, technical editor, information planner, and documentation manager for IBM. Later, he acted as consultant through his own company, which provided various professional computer and language skills to large account clients.

He has since retired.

Sam supports English football club Southampton – in an expat sort of way.
